Good thing that I wrote about food yesterday. Right now my face is frozen from my eyebrow to my chin. Teeth cleaning. I like this new dentist. He is very serious and never flirted even once. He has a lucky wife.
I WANT FOOD! I WANT DRINK! I want the eyelid on the left side of my face to CLOSE!
Side B in two weeks.
I hope your day was less constrictive.

sorry...I forgot one thing...add a can of stewed tomatoes or some chopped tomatoes to your sauce prior to the simmering...
HE's HERE!!!!
He called me 8 X's today. It's not about me...exactly. I am making homemade lasagna! He is drooling. :)
If you were here you could have some too. I usually reserve this for dinner parties because it makes a LOT, enough for 6 to 8 people. You can freeze the extra and have free dinners the rest of the month.
Wanna try it? Here's the recipe. (If I can do it, you can do it too.)
Barringtonio's Excellent Lasagna
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a big skillet brown a pound of ground beef, 1/2 green pepper (chopped), 3 cloves garlic (pressed), and 1 onion (chopped). Drain off any grease. Add 1/4 cup red wine (whatever you are serving) and 1/2 one of those little cans of sliced black olives.
Add a big Ragu, two shakes of Italian seasoning. Let simmer for 15 minutes. Add water so pan is full. The sauce needs to be liquidy.
In a big pan place a couple ladles of sauce. Add uncooked lasanga. Scoop globs of ricotta cheese on top. Then add shredded mozzerella. Now more sauce. Press the pasta down so the cheese spreads out. Then repeat ending with sauce, mozerella, and sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan. Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, otherwise it will be too hot and you will burn the roof of your mouth and that will bother you for about 3 or 4 days. So wait.
Serve with garlic bread, a salad, and lots of tasty red wine...Merlot is nice!
Mangia!
(Freeze the excess by cutting the lasagna into big squares and putting it in freezer baggies. Free food for another day.)
Gotta go...have fun tonight :)
